#SAVEBLACKRIVERSTOREBERLIN
This gofundme project is to support and SAVE the one and only BlackriverStore Berlin on behalf of the fingerboard community.
It takes a lot to run a skateshop, there is no simpler way of putting it. And, in this day and age where stores and companies are being opened up by corporations and non-skateboarders trying to cash in left right and center; it's not getting any easier for the core. It's important now more than ever to support the local shops and in this particular case, one important to us all as fingerboarders; The Blackriver Store Berlin who are in need. And we are the ones who can step up and help!
If you are a fingerboarder in any regard, you have probably heard of, seshed, or been affected by the blackriver store in Berlin. It is places like these that have helped pioneer and grow the scene that we love today and they continue to support this culture in every way, shape, and form that they possibly can. Through contests and events, initiatives with the skateboard community, and having the sickest indoor spot for anybody to come sesh... The BRstore has done it all for the peice of wood and four wheels that we love so much, no matter what size. So, in these tryin' times here is an idea so crazy that I am actually pretty sure only a fingerboarder would vibe with it! The relentless support we show one another here is almost unheard of in the world. But, it's just how we are.
Here is what I am thinking and what led to this idea.
Most fingerboard pages these days have around 10k followers, easy. Some, up to 40k... That's a lot of reach. And if you think about it, how many of those people MUST say "Fuck yeah" when asked if the would support the BR store in Berlin right? If even 5K of that funded 1 dollar each, we could easily, EASILY reach this goal. If 10K helped out, we would only have to toss in 50 cents each! Thats all it could take! And I truly believe in it.
This campaign will be set up for 2 weeks because 1) I think we could raise this in 1 hour, let alone 2 weeks and 2) The time is NOW, and everyday we wait, it just gets closer and closer.
The love they could use from us right now will come back in spades to the fingerboard community and I think we all know that. It's important to know that this project is not in any way affiliated with Blackriver Ramps or the Blackriver Store Berlin itself, it is simply an idea from somebody who loves fingerboarding and skateboarding the same as everyone else.
