Alex Christ @ Portugal - Interview
Alex Christ visited Portugal twice in a row to visit the scene of Portugal and learn a little more about Ystore. The FBMAG, made a short interview with him, to know a little bit about your experience in Portugal.
Why did you come to Portugal?
The reason why I traveled to portugal, are my sponsors. I was always intrested for the portugal
fingerboarding lifestyle you know #yellowlife and i asked my Friends Philippe and Christophe for a perfect date to come around. The ystore and the parks are perfect spots with the perfect feeling. And the yellowlifestyle contains skateboarding, Surfing, Good vibes and fingerboarding. Thats the reason.
What did you think of the community of Portugal?
I think the community in Portugal is great. All the events all the fingerboarders everything is completly amazing.
And the Ystore?
The ystore is a place to come down. For me it is such a great idea to make a shop which is also a place to hangout for the kids. The ystore is something like socialwork you know ? The kids are there after school just hangout and forget all the shit happend on the daily buisness (Schoolstress familystress) just getting there mind free from stressful thought thats the reason why everybody should visit this place 1 time in there life just 100% fingerboarding
What are the notable differences between Portugal and Germany?
I think the main difference is that many (not all) Kids in Germany are very rich they got everything if they want a new setup the Parents buy them a new one. The people in Portugal don't have so much money so the portuguese kids don't have the freshest set ups and the most ramps they just search the Spots in the streets, school or house they don't need to buy fingerboard spots thats a very important thing i guess. The Portuguese fingerboarders are very big talents they don't have the money to travel around but they are fucking trickmachines ! I would say i like the Portuguese scene currently more then the german scene.
You are hoping to come back to Portugal again?
I will defently come back in the beginning of 2014 and hope to see you at the ystore.
What do you think about FBMAG site/work?
I think it's a great fingerboardsupport a very good Support for the Portuguese Scene !!
